DALLAS–FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Van Kush Family today launched The Case Law of Us at https://caselaw.soapbox.community, a surface built on one idea: the case reporters are a narrative history of this country.
Famous figures live in the caselaw — Fred Hampton, Marcus Garvey, Huey Newton, the Chicago Seven, Muhammad Ali, Curt Flood, 2 Live Crew — and the courts themselves do deep historical, anthropological and legislative work, from Holy Trinity’s “Christian nation” survey to Lukumi on Santería, O Centro on the ayahuasca tradition, and Heller and Bruen on founding-era history. Beneath all of it lie the ancient written codes that invented precedent-bearing law.
