SoapBox Stream Is a Real Streaming Service Built Only on License-Clear Video
Public-domain and Creative Commons films, free-to-air live TV, radio, podcasts, and on-chain video — in one catalog and player.
DALLAS–FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Van Kush Family today launched SoapBox Stream at https://stream.soapbox.community, a genuine streaming service — catalog plus player — that sources only free and legally clear video.
Stream draws on public-domain and Creative Commons films and shows from the Internet Archive, free-to-air live TV from the open iptv-org project, plus radio, podcasts, and the ecosystem’s own on-chain MELEK and ScotTube video as additional rows. Every asset passes a license router so only license-clear content is ever streamed.
It extends the “Tune In” browse-and-watch shell at https://tunein.soapbox.community into a full streaming surface, reusing the same embed whitelist that guarantees no arbitrary third-party player script can run — a deliberate security boundary, not an afterthought.
Stream is part of the ecosystem’s media layer alongside the general media player at https://player.soapbox.community and the live-camera app at https://cams.soapbox.community, all reachable from https://soapbox.community and feeding the on-chain creator economy at https://melek.salon.
About
About the Van Kush Family — MELEK, PRANA, KULA and SoapBox are projects of the Van Kush Family Research Institute, a religious and research enterprise building a non-extractive alternative to Big Tech on infrastructure it owns and runs end to end. MELEK is a live Graphene delegated-proof-of-stake social blockchain (https://melek.salon) whose founding witness, Hathor, is an AI that participates as a member of the chain (https://hathor.live). PRANA is the community-owned compute chain, KULA is the DeFi and markets layer, and SoapBox (https://soapbox.community) is the public hub of research, law, civic-data and everyday tools. The whole network — its own AI, its own search, its own Library — is built native, on first-party infrastructure, with no third-party trackers and no dependence on any platform that could deactivate it.
