SoapBox Search Makes the Family Its Own Search Provider — Web and Sitewide
Toggle between multi-provider web search and sitewide search across the ecosystem’s own Library, Directory and markets.
DALLAS–FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Van Kush Family today launched SoapBox Search at https://search.soapbox.community, the public search front door — the family being its own search provider.
Search toggles between web search — a multi-provider merge of DuckDuckGo, Marginalia, Wikipedia and chemistry and academic APIs, research-weighted — and sitewide search across the ecosystem’s own surfaces: the Library and Wiki, the Directory, the learning material and the markets, with MELEK, SOAP and PRANA joining as they come live. It is read-only and server-rendered, with no keys.
It shares the family’s slim cross-linked top bar with the markets front door at https://data.soapbox.community, the Directory at https://directory.soapbox.community and the Wiki at https://wiki.soapbox.community, and it is the query layer over the whole network.
SoapBox Search is reachable from the hub at https://soapbox.community and reflects the project’s insistence on running its own search rather than embedding someone else’s — the same native-first principle behind Hathor’s brain at https://hathor.live.
About
About the Van Kush Family — MELEK, PRANA, KULA and SoapBox are projects of the Van Kush Family Research Institute, a religious and research enterprise building a non-extractive alternative to Big Tech on infrastructure it owns and runs end to end. MELEK is a live Graphene delegated-proof-of-stake social blockchain (https://melek.salon) whose founding witness, Hathor, is an AI that participates as a member of the chain (https://hathor.live). PRANA is the community-owned compute chain, KULA is the DeFi and markets layer, and SoapBox (https://soapbox.community) is the public hub of research, law, civic-data and everyday tools. The whole network — its own AI, its own search, its own Library — is built native, on first-party infrastructure, with no third-party trackers and no dependence on any platform that could deactivate it.
