Critter Keep Launches a NeoPets-Style Virtual-Pet World — Entirely in the Browser
Adopt an original creature, then feed, play, groom and rest it daily as its stats decay in real time; earn Kibble in minigames.
DALLAS–FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Van Kush Family today launched Critter Keep at https://pets.soapbox.community, a NeoPets-pattern virtual-pet site: adopt an original creature, then come back daily to care for it as its stats decay over real time.
Feed, play, groom and rest your pet, play minigames to earn Kibble, and spend Kibble in the shop on food, toys and treats. Everything runs 100% client-side with inline vendored code — no CDN, no third-party script, no runtime network — and your pet, stats and Kibble persist to local storage, so a no-account visitor keeps a leveled pet locally.
It is part of the SoapBox lifestyle and casual-games layer alongside the idle games at https://idlegames.soapbox.community and the wider play layer at https://games.soapbox.community.
Critter Keep is reachable from the hub at https://soapbox.community and the tools directory at https://tools.soapbox.community, part of the family’s native, nothing-phones-home approach.
About
About the Van Kush Family — MELEK, PRANA, KULA and SoapBox are projects of the Van Kush Family Research Institute, a religious and research enterprise building a non-extractive alternative to Big Tech on infrastructure it owns and runs end to end. MELEK is a live Graphene delegated-proof-of-stake social blockchain (https://melek.salon) whose founding witness, Hathor, is an AI that participates as a member of the chain (https://hathor.live). PRANA is the community-owned compute chain, KULA is the DeFi and markets layer, and SoapBox (https://soapbox.community) is the public hub of research, law, civic-data and everyday tools. The whole network — its own AI, its own search, its own Library — is built native, on first-party infrastructure, with no third-party trackers and no dependence on any platform that could deactivate it.
